Buchanan Freshman Fellowship Technical Issues

If you have issues accessing the application, please check your browser – Google Chrome works best for these forms. Don’t overlook potential technical issues; ensure you accept cookies if prompted [click Accept in the blue band at the top of the page], or the application will not work correctly. 

You do not have to complete the application in one session, but please save every 30 minutes or so. Please complete and submit your application several days before the deadline, as the Honors College is not responsible for any technical difficulties or other computer issues that may occur.

If you’ve already started your application and want to return to your saved draft, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Buchanan Application link. Use the same link you originally used to begin your application.
2. Log in with your credentials. Enter your username and password. Accept cookies if prompted.
3. Do NOT click the large “Complete This Form” button. That button starts a new application, not your saved draft.
4. Click on the hyperlink labeled “Forms I need to sign now.” It shows forms you’ve started but haven’t submitted.
5. Under “These forms need your action,” you should click on “My forms draft.”
6. Find your draft in the list and click the “Action” drop-down menu. Then select “Complete Form” to resume working on your saved application.

If this process doesn’t work or the draft isn’t showing up, feel free to reach out for help.

If you continue to experience technical issues with your PipelineMT account or Buchanan Fellowship Application, please contact help@mtsu.edu or 615-898-5345. If you contact help@mtsu.edu or call 615-898-5345, please tell them your name and M-number and that you need help creating your pipeline account. Again, once your pipeline account is created, you can access the Buchanan application. Look up Steps to Apply for more details.

Make sure you select which deadline option you want for Buchanan–either November or December.

If you hit the submit button and it doesn’t go through, make sure that you have selected one of these options, located just above “Section A”. It could simply be a technical issue, requiring you to verify your choices.

In mid-November, an alternate application is available that does not require an M-Number or the Pipeline username and password to be set up. Please follow the directions below to create your username and password for the alternate version. 

When you click on the link above, please accept the cookies first. Then, look under the “username & password” fields and click on the option to Create a New Account. You will need to create your username and password for this application (please also write down the username and password so you can access it later). You must also provide a personal email address to verify the account before accessing the Buchanan Fellowship Application. Once you have created the account, you can save drafts of your application and reaccess it by logging into the system through the same link above until the deadline. See the top of this page for information on common problems relating to technical issues.
