New to BLUE: New Student Orientation Information
New to Blue is Middle Tennessee State University’s new student orientation program. New to Blue helps new undergraduate students transition into the university, prepares new students for MTSU’s educational opportunities, and initiates the integration of new students into the institution’s intellectual, cultural, and social climate. All new students must complete this orientation to register for classes.
Information on how to register for New to Blue can be found on the new student orientation page.
Information for new Honors students can be found by viewing our videos, reading the Frequently Asked Questions, and reviewing the list of Fall 2025 Honors classes for the upcoming semester. (This list is subject to change. Therefore, you should verify that classes are still available and have open seats through Pipeline.)
To graduate from the University Honors College, students must maintain a cumulative GPA equal to or greater than 3.25 and complete the Honors requirements (including a thesis) outlined below. It is essential to understand that the Honors hours required for graduation from the Honors College are not necessarily in addition to the 120 hours required for a bachelor’s degree but rather a part of the 120 hours required. Learn more about MTSU Honors College graduation requirements.
