Fostering the Honors Community

Honors College Living & Learning Center: Your Home for Academic Excellence

Step into a vibrant, intellectually engaging community designed for Honors students, but open to all students! The Honors College Living & Learning Center seamlessly combines academic excellence with residential life, fostering a thriving community for scholars.

The Lyon Complex (Mary and McHenry Halls) is home to MTSU’s Honors Living Learning Community. Students who live in the Honors Living and Learning community are encouraged (but not required) to enroll in at least one Honors class (3 credit hours) each semester. This residence hall isn’t just a place to live—it’s a hub for collaboration, inspiration, and personal growth.

A Space Designed for Success

Honors College participants living in the Lyon Complex have access to special facilities designed to help them maximize their on-campus experience, including multiple areas for group and individual study, access to exclusive Honors College programs and advisement, and other essential activities and services.

The Lyon Complex is located adjacent to the James Union Building. The Living Learning Communities take place on all floors of both Mary and McHenry Halls.

Ready to Apply? Contact MTSU Housing and Residential Life today to secure your spot, email housing@mtsu.edu, or call 615-898-2971.

The Lyon Complex main floor houses a help desk that is open from 7 am to midnight, weekdays, and 7 am to 2 am on Friday and Saturday.
